If your PC has any type of drivers that are out of date, malfunctioning or that happen to be missing, Driver Turbo is a program that can reliably find, suggest and install these drivers with a few simple clicks.

What Driver Turbo Does

Driver Turbo is not a unique or innovative program in any way, so do not expect to find something that stands out above the crowd. However, that is ironically what makes Driver Turbo a solid program. It does not stand out or do anything markedly better than the hundreds of other driver-update programs out there. This is a blue-collar program that works steadily and reliably on a range of Windows operating systems, finding the drivers you need for every piece of hardware you own.

Other programs can boast the same in this regard, in that they also find many software drivers. However, many of these programs are tweaked to be so fast that they will overlook key drivers, not to even mention the fact that they try to do too much on top of finding drivers. Driver Turbo stays true to what it is and delivers rock-steady performance.

Some Key Features of Driver Turbo

The first big feature of Driver Turbo that will probably catch your eye is the user-friendly interface. Everything you could possibly need from a driver-update piece of software is located on the left-hand side of the screen: Overview, Scan Results, Backup Drivers, Restore Drivers, and Settings (which are customizable).

Another solid feature of Driver Turbo is that scans thoroughly instead of quickly. This does not mean that the program is always slow, but it does mean it is not going to finish in 30 seconds like many other driver programs out there. The result is a cleaner, more thorough scan that finds drivers for USB devices, modems, graphics drivers, disk drives and much more. You will be notified as to the state of the drivers as well; e.g.: Out of Date, Corrupted, etc.

At the bottom of the screen, you will be prompted to download all drivers. You can choose to download and install them all directly from Driver Turbo, or you can choose to ignore some drivers. For instance, you may be happy with a GeForce driver and thus want to refuse the update. You can ignore this and just get the rest.

A negative aspect of Driver Turbo is that it is not freeware, meaning you will have to pay after a trial version is up. What’s so annoying about this is that the trial version doesn’t offer you much of anything. It will find the drivers for you, but it will not download them or even give you specifics. Hence, the program is useless unless you buy it.
